Fleet Tracking
Our commitment to transparency
WWF Italy, WWF International and Bolton Food work together on an ambitious transformational program aimed at improving the sustainability of the seafood industry and the health of the ocean, including increasing its traceability and transparency levels.
Improved transparency and traceability in the tuna supply chain are important for many reasons, as they:
- help reduce fraud, food waste, illegal fishing, human rights abuses and environmental degradation in supply chains
- contribute to the positive transformation of the entire industry towards better ocean stewardship
- meet international obligations, national laws and consumer demands for reliable and transparent information about the origins of the products
As part of its agreement with WWF and, more specifically, its commitment to transparency, Bolton Food publishes in real-time the tracking information of its own vessels on the map below. The map is provided by Global Fishing Watch, a technology-based initiative publishing information and providing analysis on activities at sea. This vessel data is analyzed every 6 months by an independent data analyst.
Our support to scientific research
through the international seafood sustainability foundation (ISSF)

Our Vertical Integrated Supply Chain
Tri Marine has been our strategic partner for more than 25 years and is the exclusive supplier of the precooked tuna loins processed in our Cermenate plant.
Our commitment to marine

Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is a global, voluntary, and independent body that supports sustainable fishing practices and defines the standards for the responsible procurement of fish resources.
Our Partnership with WWF
We have been working together with WWF since 2017 to safeguard the health of the oceans and the livelihoods of the communities that depend on them.
