Our strategic direction

Responsible Quality is our Sustainable Development program. Since 2011, it has been used to convey our concept of Quality to all our stakeholders and through our packaging. This concept is pursued responsibly across the entire supply chain, from catch to consumer, in respect of the environment and people.

Our ambition is to become the most sustainable and responsible tuna company FOR the world, through a transformative, holistic, scientific, global and vertical approach to sustainability and committing to our four key pillars:

Partnership is our leadership

We have a motto

PARTNERSHIP IS OUR LEADERSHIP and we believe that working in partnership with NGOs, Institutions, industry and other stakeholders is fundamental to reach our sustainability commitments.

That’s why we have in place different partnerships such as with ISSF, WWF, MSC, Oxfam and OnFoods.

Working in partnership is important for several reasons, in particular:

  1. allows us to acquire know-how from experienced stakeholders on specific topics
  2. obliges us to have public, clear and accountable objectives
  3. enables us to influence the industry through the promotion of best practices
  4. improves the credibility of our initiatives

Our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a list of 17 international goals drawn up by the United Nations in September 2015. These goals cover all the main areas of intervention concerning global sustainable development, including protection of the planet and the fight against hunger and poverty.

Since their publication, our sustainability strategy has considered them as a reference point to determine the priorities and areas of intervention for each of the 4 pillars on which our corporate social responsibility approach is based. In particular, we commit every day to act for achieving 6 out of the 17 objectives elaborated by the United Nations.
